HELP!!:)

Hey huys!:)

This is going to be a very quick post so I'll try not to make it too boring!
I have my school celebration evening and prom coming up soon and want a flawless foundation that I can use after the events too:)

I have been researching Max Factor Xperience, L'oreal True Match and both the Revlon Photoready and the Revlon Colorstay foundations. I am thinking I'm gonna go for either of the Revlon foundations. However, I look at a review for both, decide which one to get and then BAM! I find a bad review:S

If any of you has tried either or both of these please let me know by commenting on emailing me at; themake-upcounter@hotmail.co.uk which one you would recommend:) OR, if you have tried another foundation that you would recommend be welcome to comment!

I would really appreciate ALL of your help and also if you would like to follow my blog please do:)

Thanks guys:) xx

  1. I would recommend ELF mineral foundation, but it depends how much you want to cover :)I have e.l.f. personal blend foundation, and last week I realized that it actually covers more then Maybelline Dream Cream foundation(or something like this), but still is not full coverage

  2. Don't let a bad review put you off. There's good and bad reviews for everything. Just remember, everyone has different skin types, so it may suit some people and not others. I personally like the Revlon foundations. Maybe go into a Boots store and swatch the Colorstay and Photoready. That way you can decide if you like the finish and find a colour match better. x

    1. Thanks Caryn!:) I have found a colour match for both of the Revlon foundations:) I think I might get the photoready as I thought the colorstay felt way too dry and thick:(

Do youu know whether the shimmer from the photoready can be 'mattified' a little with a powder?:)x

    2. Yes, definitely. I use powder to set my foundation.. and over the Photoready foundation, it does make it look less shimmering and more matte! :) x

    5. Yes, I've used the L'Oreal True Match a while ago. I didn't like it though, wasn't very good for my dry skin. I no longer use L'Oreal. x

    8. Ahh right, yeah. I can understand the shimmer of PhotoReady being a put off. That's another thing about the L'Oreal foundation. I found it too light and the next shade was too dark for me x

  3. i might try the next shade if not ill just use the elf mineral booster, even though its sheer it seems to make my makeup darker:Px
