Collective Beauty and Fashion Haul

Hello everyone!

I thought I would show you some of the beauty and fashion items that I have buying for the last month and a half or so. I have included the retail prices instead of the prices I paid because I was lucky enough to get discount off a lot of these items from codes, student and staff discount.
Hope this gives you some inspiration or helps you find just what you're looking for, enjoy :)

Topshop Stripe Collared Tee £20 LINK
Topshop Scallop Frill Tee £16 LINK
Primark Sheer White Peplum Top £8

As you know I love collars and this striped top was no exception. I had my eye on it for quite a while and managed to finally get hold of it. It has a small subtle pocket on the front and a tie up at the back which I feel adds a little something extra. I feel like the next top looks a lot more purple in the picture than in person although it is a very berry shade. I love pairing it with the dogtooth leggings you will see soon in this post and I really like how instead of just a really basic top, they added some scalloped detailing along the hem and sleeves. Lastly, this top from Primark is quite sheer and will go with anything. If you aren't a massive fan of peplum styles or feel they don't suit you, the peplum on this is very subtle but still has some shape.

New Look Large Spot Print Jumper £19.99 LINK
New Look Yellow Honeycomb Knit Crew Neck Jumper £19.99 LINK
Urban Outfitters Cooperative Crazy Daisy Jumper £42 LINK
Primark Pale Blue Fluffy Jumper £10

I sometimes feel like the polka dots on the first jumper may be mistaken for snowballs and people might think I'm wearing a Christmas jumper a little too early but don't worry I'm not! The bottom of the sleeves are slightly rolled up and the pattern is reversed with grey polka dots which I think is a lot nicer than plain white. Yellow/mustard shades are perfect for Autumn and I love the honeycomb effect of the material making it stand out a little more. The next jumper was quite pricey but I love it and feel it is a lot different to anything I have seen anywhere else and I really like that they added the yellow detailing around the edge to break up the grey a little bit. Lastly, fluffly jumpers and cardigans seem to be everywhere at the moment and Primark definitely have a range of choice. I chose the pale blue version of the jumper but they have a lot of colours available and it is a lot softer than you would think!

Topshop Crepe Zip Shift Dress £45 LINK
ASOS Petite Asymmetric Bodycon Dress £22 LINK
ASOS Petite Exclusive Heart Print Smock Dress £35 LINK

Burgundy has got to be one of my favourite colours and this dress is perfect for Autumn/Winter time. I don't really wear v-neck styles but I really like it on this dress, zips are also quite popular on dresses at the moment and I like that instead of just detail, they are actual pockets too! I originally saw the black dress on Zoe's vlog and eventually found an event to wear it to. It is difficult to see but the material overlaps at the bottom which looks like there is a triangle shaped cut out. I also saw the next dress on Zoe's video and fell in love with it. The colour on this doesn't show too well either but it is a gorgeous pastel pink shade with little hearts printed on it and again, very different to anything I've seen in stores!

Topshop Dogtooth Leggings £25 LINK
Topshop High-Waist Ponte Treggings £25 LINK
River Island White Floral Embroidered Fringed Kimono £45 LINK

These are the dogtooth print leggings I mentioned earlier and they are quite out-there but I'm getting a bit braver by wearing trousers that aren't just black and I really like them. Last year I mentioned some similar black trousers to these and they've had their time and needed to be replaced. These are a little thinner and don't have the pockets on the back but are basically the same in other aspects. A kimono isn't something I have ever worn before and this is definitely a more subtle design than a lot of others available. I like that the fringing stays along the hem and the underneath of the sleeves instead of around the cuffs of the arms.

Primark Black T Bar Wedges £12
Next Western Ankle Boots £36 LINK
Urban Outfitters Hoop and Chain Earrings in Silver £3 RRP £14 LINK
Next Snowman Socks £3 LINK (5 pack, for sale individually in store)
Primark Christmas Penguin Pyjamas £6
Primark Black Floral Pyjama Top £3 and Shorts £4

I saw some very similar shoes to the Primark ones in New Look but they had a heel instead. I don't have any wedge heels and thought these were a bit more basic and slightly more casual. I have wanted some heeled ankle boots for over a year now and these were the only ones I've really liked and luckily the heel isn't too tall. I also think they will go with the burgundy dress perfectly. I've had my eye on these earrings for a very long time and I was very surprised by how much they were reduced in the sale! It's still a while until Christmas but there's no problem with getting in the spirit and these snowman socks were too cute to leave! Primark is definitely the place to go to for pyjamas! I got some trousers which are also quite Chrismassy with penguins and snowflakes. I also got a black top and shorts with a cream floral print and lace detailing.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.19
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - Transparent £3.99
Maybelline The Falsies Mascara - Black Drama £7.99
OPI Nail Polish - Let's Do Anything We Want!, My Very First Knockwurst, Cajun Shrimp £6 each
OPI Avojuice - Mango £5.40
Essie Nail Polish - Cocktail Bling £8 LINK
LUSH Tea Tree Water £7.50 LINK

You all know how much I love the concealer, powder and mascara so I won't say too much but they are definitely some of my go-to products. I went to a beauty show last month and got 3 OPI polishes as they were half price and a bottle of their hand and body lotion which is mango scented which smells incredible! Essie aren't exhibiting at the show I went to anymore but I got this grey/blue shade in London which is perfect for this time of year. Lastly, the LUSH toner is the best one I have used and always go back to it when I can! If you can get to a LUSH, definitely give this a go!

I hope this has given you some inspiration or helped you find some new clothes for Autumn!
What have you been buying recently? :)

My New Favourite Place | Brighton

Hello everyone!

At the end of last week, me and my mum travelled down to Brighton for a couple of days. We drove down early Thursday morning and spent the rest of the day looking around the town and some of the bigger lanes.

Down one of the lanes we found this shop called Bert's homestore which seemed to have almost everything you could be looking for!

This Is Not A Butchers was a shop I really wanted to find and Sass & Belle was a shop which I didn't know was actually in Brighton but I had seen their website advertised a lot online.

We found another lane that had all of the beauty stores down one end of it with Jo Malone, MAC and Kiehl's and a couple of fashion stores in the opposite direction including Ted Baker. The shopping centre was a little hard to find the first time and is on the same road as New Look, Primark and Topshop.

The beach was beautiful with mini rides and shops and I don't think I've ever seen so many seagulls!

If these pictures of the beach don't make you want to visit Brighton then I don't know what will! After taking pictures of the beach we obviously had to visit the pier.

Be careful walking along the pier if you're holding your phone, the gaps between the planks of wood and big enough for it to fall straight in the sea! Candy floss was also a must whilst walking along the pier.

Obviously we had to go back to pier in the evening after dinner.

The next day we found some a little cafƩ called 'Marwood' hiding in the corner although we didn't have time to go in! We also found some more of the lanes with a lot of jewellery and food shops/bakeries.

Choccywoocydoodah is a chocolate shop with a cafƩ upstairs although sadly the cafƩ was closed when we went there.

The Angel Food Bakery is the cutest little cupcake shop I have seen and I wasn't surprised that the cupcakes were delicious!

We went to go and see the Royal Pavillion on the way to go back to the beach and saw this little homeware store but didn't go inside.

Before going back to the hotel to get the car and go home we had to go back to the beach and look in some of the small souvenir style shops. I decided to dip my feet in the sea but got drenched from the knee down and my shoes almost swept away by the sea!

After I got back I already started planning two more trips to Brighton, one with my mum and another with my best friend. I loved it so much and it is definitely my new favourite place!

Where did you go away to this summer?
Have you ever been to Brighton?

June/July Favourites

Hello everyone!
I didn't write a post last month for my favourites because I didn't see too much point as there was only a minimal number of products. Instead I thought I would combine my June favourites with my July favourites and write about them all here.
Just like in my last post, I took advantage of the sun and had a mini photoshoot outside instead of just using a bed throw as the background in the pictures!

I mentioned the Tanya Burr Lipgloss in 'Chic' in my May favourites and I just had to mention it again! It is the most gorgeous lip gloss and the shade is perfect for any look and any time of the year. It spells like strawberry laces too so that's a plus :) I have also been enjoying using the EstĆ©e Lauder Lipstick in 'Pink Sand' underneath the lipgloss and they both work really well together. Throughout June I was loving the MAC Lipstick in 'Sunny Seoul' which I haven't used in July but want to in August! It is a really nice corally-pink shade which if you wanted more colour for summer instead of a nude lip, this is one to have a look at :)

An eyeshadow look I was wearing constantly in June was the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 'On and On Bronze' as a base and then the darker shade in my NARS 'Isolde' Eyeshadow Duo on top and then blended out. I mentioned this duo in my May favourites as well and I love the pigmentation of the shadows, they are so easy to work with especially on top of a cream base.

The Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation wasn't a foundation I was massively interested to use on its own as I have previously mixing it with other foundations to try and make a better colour. However, since I haven't been getting on too well with the NARS Sheer Glow (unfortunately) I thought I would try this out. It is so light that you can hardly feel it on your skin and the coverage is quite buildable (nothing concealer can't figure out if not!) It has a flawless finish and lasts all day. Although the colour isn't perfect because I am sadly so pale, it's now one of my favourite foundations.

The Zoeva Brushes have been talked about by practically every blogger/vlogger you could think of, especially, the rose gold collection. I was so excited to receive this set from my grandad for my birthday last month and I have been loving the 102, 110, 142 and 127 brushes the most. The 102 is perfect for foundation (although not the best with NARS Sheer Glow), the 110 is my favourite for blending concealer and 142 is just as good as the 110 but for those small areas you can't get to, like the inner corners of your eyes. Finally, the 127 is my favourite brush for blush out of every brush I have tried in the past!

I have been wearing the Tanya Burr Nail Polish in 'Bright and Early' for at least a month. Having so many bottles of nail polish, I can never decide which one to use but I have been reaching for this over anything else recently. It is honestly the perfect pink summer shade and nothing like I have seen from other brands.

The AvĆØne Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water is one of my must have products throughout the summer. It is the best thing to use to cool yourself down in the heat.
The LUSH Tea Tree Water has got to be my favourite toner and I always go back to this one whenever I can. I don't like near to a LUSH store so sometimes have to stick with whatever I can find in Boots but I still haven't found anything that I like more than the LUSH one. It never breaks me out and always feels like it is actually doing something (whether it actually is or not I'm not sure.)

I have been using the NUXE Reve De Miel Lip Balm ever since I got it over a month ago for my birthday and know I understand why every blogger was constantly raving about it. I apply it at night after my moisturiser and it has really improved how soft my lips are and reduced how chapped they were before. It smells like chocolate orange to so that's a plus! :)
Talking about things that smell nice, the Sugar Crush Body Wash and the Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub from Soap & Glory are some of the nicest smelling shower products I have ever used! The body wash is a scent I never used to like and can take some time for you to get used to it but it is so refreshing and you end up walking around smelling like a lime haha! The scrub smells good enough to eat as it smells just like cookie dough! I'm not a massive scrubs fan and I don't really like the feeling of them but this doesn't seem as gritty or like you're rubbing sand over your body.

I still haven't found anything as good as my favourite TIGI hair products but for a cheap quick drugstore product, the Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer Shampoo and Conditioner have been so nice to use! There are different ones available for different hair types and I am currently using the one for dry, frizzy hair. If anyone has used/likes the smell of the Chocomania shower cream from The Body Shop then you will love the smell of this! It leaves my hair feeling so soft and sleek and have already repurchased the shampoo! Take their quiz to find out the best one for your hair.

Daytime TV has always been terrible but recently I have been obsessed with watching The Speakmans on ITV. They are not a couple I had previously heard of but they help people to get rid of phobias and anxiety disorders and they work wonders! Although, I will admit listening to an episode behind a cushion whilst they were dealing with a phobia of spiders instead of actually watching :p I haven't missed one episode since they started the series and I hope it doesn't finish soon!

I haven't included these in the pictures because I ate the PrĆncipe Biscuits and I forgot the GĆ¼ After Dark Hot Chocolate SoufflĆ©s were in the fridge! The biscuits are like a normal biscuit with chocolate filling and they might not sound like anything special but trust me they are the best biscuits you can buy! Unfortunately I think they are only available in Spain and France. The soufflĆ©s are to die for but quite pricey, they are a chocolate pudding which you heat in the oven and they kind of like a sponge with melted chocolate inside, look both things up online, you won't be disappointed!

What have you been loving throughout June and July?

Welcome Back! 10 Favourite Items In My Wardrobe

Hello everyone!

I have been searching the internet trying to find some ideas for new blog posts after my internet broke once again! I thought, seeing as tags can be one of my favourite posts to write (depending what it is), that I would start searching for some new tag ideas. I found this one floating around which it seems quite old and there are some newer versions around but I liked the concept of this one more so thought I would give it a go!

You have to choose 10 of your favourite items in your wardrobe, mention where it's from, why you like it and say any memories you have of you wearing it.
No accessories are allowed!

Zara Black Faux Leather Jacket - This is a fairly new addition to my wardrobe that was an extra present for my 18th last month. I've never had a leather jacket before, it can pull together an outfit and I love it :)
Primark Collar Top - I love collars so much and I have worn this so many times, it goes with everything and perfect to team with a jumper and poke the collar out.
✶ Zara Black Polka Dot Collar Dress - Again, another collar! I think this is perfect for something casual and you can dress it up as well! Looks shapeless on the hanger but hangs perfectly :)
✶ Topshop Frill Shell Top - This is the perfect spring top and love wearing it with my Topshop print jeans, such a light material and white just goes with everything.
✶ Topshop Stripe Top - I got this the other year as all I seemed to wear was monochrome, I love teaming it with disco pants and wore it a hell of a lot! I think the stripes being vertical on the back make it so different.

✶ Zara Yellow Empire Line Collar Top - Recently, I'm like a magpie to anything with a collar and I didn't have anything that was yellow and it goes really nice with the jacket! So flattering and summery :)
✶ Miss Selfridge Blue Flutter Playsuit - I've been trying to be brave and get my legs out a bit more so I decided to add this playsuit to my wardrobe. So flattering and I recently wore it to my best friend's 18th!
✶ Ted Baker Mint Skater Dress - I got this for my 18th birthday last month and wore it for both my meal out with friends and when my family came over! Gorgeous colour and love the pop of colour on the back zip.
✶ Topshop Pink Quilted Jumper - This is my favourite jumper, I love the quilted detail and the colour is perfect for all year! Love teaming this with the Primark top.
✶ Urban Outfitters Square Cami Top - This is the newest addition to my wardrobe and love how different it is to everything I have. I team it with leggings and love the button detail down the back :)

Hope you enjoyed taking a peek into my wardrobe in a way that is different to a normal haul post!
I tag everyone to do this and if you do, please comment the link down below and I will take a look :)

How Much Is My Face Worth? | Tag

One of the most popular tag posts on blogs and YouTube videos is the 'How Much Is My Face Worth?' tag. As you can guess, the idea of this tag is to get together your daily makeup as well as the tools/brushes you use and add together the prices of each products to find out how much your face is 'worth'.

This tag became quite popular in 2012 and I actually posted a version of the tag back then which you can read here. I did notice that since it has come back this year bloggers have been adding the brushes they use whereas before it was only makeup products.

I have included links for each product as well as any links for reviews I have written or recent favourites posts they were included in with mini reviews. Let's see the difference compared to when I published this two years ago!

Garnier Moisture Match Mattifying Moisturiser (not in images) £5.99 LINK

Well that is a lot more than I was expecting! Looks like I definitely use more makeup now than I did two years ago but take a lot at the first version I did of this post to see the final price difference!
Let me know how much your face is 'worth' :)

May Favourites

Whilst being in the blogging mood and on my last day off until I'm back at college, I thought I would sit down and tell you what my favourite products have been throughout May. I haven't got too many favourites this month as I felt I was constantly talking about the same products but here are the few things I have been enjoying using.

L'Oreal Colour Riche Nail Polish - Nouvelle Vague LINK
This is definitely going to be one of my favourite products for Spring this year and I feel like it's almost a purple version of the blogger favourite polish; Essie 'Fiji'. The shade is a perfect pastel, pale lilac and you only need two coats to get a good reflection of the true colour. I have it on my nails at the moment and it has only chipped slightly on one nail after roughly 6 days.

Benefit POREfessional Primer LINK
I have always wanted to try this but couldn't justify the price if I didn't like it. I got a sample with ELLE magazine recently and I was surprised how much I have been enjoying using it. It does have an unusual texture but is something I have got used to and in the tube it is a skintone shade but applies clear on the skin. I only apply this on my nose and just onto my cheeks where my makeup tends to wear off first and this has definitely made an improvement! My makeup lasts longer on those areas and doesn't go as shiny as quick.

NARS Pro Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base LINK
I kind of have a love/hate relationship with this primer. One day it keeps my eyeshadow in place perfectly, another day it will still slightly crease where I have blended the darker shade of eyeshadow. I do really like this primer though as unlike my previous £1.50 primer from e.l.f. it keeps my eyeshadow in place for more than a couple of hours. You just need to control how much you apply as that can make a vast difference!

NARS Eyeshadow Duo - Isolde LINK
These are definitely two of the nicest bronze/copper eyeshadows I have seen and this duo has been on my wishlist for as long as I can remember. Bronze eye makeup is one of the main 'go-to' makeup trends at the moment and this duo is perfect for that. They both have excellent pigmentation and have a really soft texture so they are very easy to blend.

Tanya Burr Lipgloss - Chic LINK
Finally a lip product that isn't the Bourjois Peach On The Beach Lip Crayon has made it into my favourites! Tanya Burr's Cosmetics made it into my local Superdrug a bit later than they were originally released and finally chose a shade to try out first. 'Chic' is the perfect nude gloss that isn't too pale or too dark for me and really does seem like a 'my lips but better' shade. If you're eating/drinking then this won't last as long as it would if you're just popping out for an hour or so but it will still last a good few hours. Excellent pigmentation and formula plus it smells like strawberry laces!

Have you tried any of Tanya Burr's cosmetics? What is your favourite shade?

Collective Haul

I've done quite a lot of beauty and fashion shopping recently so I thought I would share with you all what I have been buying over roughly the last month or so. Thought I would say that I am not bragging in anyway! I got a few of these in the sale and with student discount codes, I have been selling old clothes recently and used that money to put towards the NARS products. Just to warn you, this will be quite long but I have included links for everything inside the text in case you want to buy anything I have included.

As you can see the fashion items I have purchased a primarily monochrome with a tiny bit of blue. The ASOS Spot Print Playsuit LINK is a very dark navy blue but looks black with white polka dots and it also has the sides cut out so you could wear any top underneath or one with a collar have it poking out the top of the playsuit. The ASOS Petite Blue Structured Top LINK was something I wanted for a while and had just come back in stock in my size so grabbed the last one. It has short sleeves with a small mesh panel.

It seems like beauty and fashion bloggers have been going a bit crazy over the Topshop Frill Shell Top LINK and the Topshop MOTO Tile Print Leigh Jeans LINK recently, especially after Zoe (Zoella) wore them together in a vlog recently. The top has some frill detailing on the sleeves, scalloping on the neckline with some crochet stripes along the bottom. The jeans are perfect for spring with a tile print which looks a little floral and looking at it, slightly reminds me of the film Frozen (hope I'm not alone on this!) In the sale I found the Topshop Daisy Spot Dress which I had my eye on for a while but was never able to get hold of it and finally found it in the Outfit store in Brookfield.

I saw the Miss Selfridge Petite Black and White Slip Dress LINK a while back when it was new but didn't want to spend £35 on something so basic. I saw a dress in Primark for £10 which looked almost identical but with a slightly higher neck but I wasn't as fond of it. Finally I managed to pick up the Miss Selfridge dress in the sale for only £12. It is a basic dress but I feel that you could style it together with other pieces to make it more perfect for summer.

I have had the same purse since about year 8 or 9 when I was 13 maybe 14 and thought I was time to get a new one. I can be quite fussy with purses and want it to have a coin section split in two (if that makes sense!). I found the ASOS Brown Scallop Edge Purse LINK in the sale and although I normally go for black purses, I really liked this one and thought it was a bargain, especially for the quality!

Midi rings have become quite popular recently and I wasn't too interested in joining the hype until I found the Topshop Green Vintage Midi Ring LINK a while back. It has a really nice design with the coloured stone in the middle. Nice way to accessorize for summer and seems perfect for the festival season also.

I really needed a brown bag but wasn't interested in paying too much money and never found anything I really liked enough. I found a vintage print bag in Primark and I also find that they are excellent quality and size for the price. I really liked the design on this one because I felt like it was different to anything you would normally see and I had already seen it on a few fashion blogs so I knew it was going to be popular.
Every year I pick up some new sandals and Primark is always the place I go to for the price especially but the styles and designs are again so different to other shops. I got some brown sandals with a cut out design and some plain black sandals with a gold bar and gold on the tip which adds some extra detail.

As normal, the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer LINK always seems to make an appearance in my haul posts and it is my favourite concealer and always go for this one again when I'm in Boots and need some more concealer. It has excellent coverage but like with all concealers I try it tends to crease a little just under my eyes but apart from that I can't find any more problems.

It's taken me a while to try out the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliners LINK simply because I used to just used liquid liner or more recently, no eyeliner at all. I wanted a brown eyeliner but wasn't willing to pay £14 on one from MAC and other drugstore eyeliners that I have tried in the past have always disappointed me. I picked up the Rimmel eyeliner instead in the shade 'Bronze' which is a really nice shade but I'm quite disappointed with the formula. It is quite difficult use it as an eyeliner on my upper lids and if I use it on the waterline it disappears in about an hour or two, might have to cave for the MAC one! :)

Two products I really wanted to try out were the L'Oreal Liquid Lipstick - Rose Symphony LINK and the L'Oreal Color Riche Nail Polish - Nouvelle Vague LINK because they are the perfect shades for summer. The lipstick is a gorgeous pink shade which is a bit brighter but not too in your face. It leaves a stain on your lips as it starts to fade throughout the day but isn't too drying on the lips, especially if you use a good lip balm first. The nail polish is a really nice pale lilac shade with excellent pigmentation and being fussy with purple shades, I'm happy I found this one! The bottle is quite small with only 5ml of nail polish inside and the price seems quite steep for the amount you get but they are perfect for travelling or if you only want a colour for a few months and don't want the rest to dry up before you get to use it again the following year.

Another nail polish I wanted is by Essie and in the shade 'Bikini So Teeny' LINK and this has been on my wishlist for almost two years. I put off buying it last year until I went to the Olympia Beauty Show to find it wasn't there and read somewhere this year that it had been discontinued. I was ready to order it on eBay until I found it in Superdrug in Kingston and grabbed it whilst I could. It is a nice powdery blue shade with some very subtle shimmer which you can see in the bottle but unfortunately not so much when on the nails.

I included this in my last post talking about my April favourites and it is the Maybelline The Falsies Mascara LINK which I do have a slight love-hate relationship with but take a look at my last post to read what I really think about it :)

NARS is a brand I have also wanted to try and their Eyeshadow Duo and the shade 'Isolde' LINK has been on my wishlist for months! ASOS had a limited time 25% student discount offer and thought I would get it then and save myself some money. It has a really nice gold/copper shade and a bronze shade inside which really compliment each other. My eyeshadow primer wasn't working and all my eyeshadow was disappearing and creasing half way through the day. I thought it was pointless to buy new eyeshadow if it wasn't going to stay on my eyes so I got the NARS Pro Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base LINK after multiple reviews and other bloggers on twitter told me it was the best one and after only two days of using it, I am really happy and it was definitely worth paying the more expensive price tag!

As much as I hate using them I picked up some of the Simple Makeup Wipes LINK because I was going to be staying over my friends for the night and didn't want to spend ages taking my makeup off. I always end up swatching things when makeup shopping so these are perfect to keep in your bag to wipe it off of your hand afterwards!

To properly take my makeup off, I got the Soap & Glory Peaches & Clean Cleanser LINK which works really well to both remove makeup and cleanse your skin. Smells incredible and leaves your skin really soft, read more about what I think of this in my last post.

After many reviews and adverts I caved when when both my shampoo and conditioner were running out and got the Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer Shampoo & Conditioner LINK LINK which were both half price in Boots as they are still fairly new. They have different formulas for different types of hair so you will definitely find something that will work for you. If you like the smell of the Chocomania shower gel from The Body Shop then you will love these as they have the same scent and of course smell amazing. I haven't used them much yet but I'm impressed so far!

If you read the whole post well done, sorry for the length!
Let me know what you've been buying or if you have anything I have included here :)

April Favourites

You may have noticed that I didn't do a favourites post for March and it was simply for the fact that I didn't have enough products to write about. I also haven't uploaded the lookbook and hair tutorial posts that I mentioned in my last post, I'm quite busy at the moment with college and my friend who I asked to take the photos is coming up to her A2 exams so I don't want to make her take time away from revising to just take some photos. Anyway here are my favourites :)

Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Mascara - Black Drama LINK
I started using this at the end of March after I had been scraping out what was left in my mini EsteƩ Lauder mascara. I had never really been too interested in trying this but when Tanya Burr is always using it in her tutorials I caved. It is a really good mascara, lengths and volumises but I wouldn't say it lives up to the Benefit They're Real which I had a mini of in a magazine last year. Nevertheless, perfect for someone on a budget.

Rimmel Mono Blush - Santa Rose and Mii Blush - Kissed LINK LINK
These have both been my 'go to' blushes for this time of year. Really natural but both give a nice flush of colour to the cheeks. The Mii blush is slightly more high-end than the Rimmel blush price wise but are both blushes that I would repurchase.

Blank Canvas Cosmetics Brushes - E26 LINK
This is a much cheaper dupe for the MAC 217 brush which trust me I still have my eyes on and will eventually buy. For now however, this blends eyeshadow into the crease of the eye really well. I do find however that it doesn't always dry back into the same shape as when I first purchased it and bristles stick out in different directions. Excellent budget choice but reading reviews, I personally don't think it works out to be as good as the 217.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water LINK
Bloggers seemed to go crazy when L'Oreal released their version of the Bioderma Micellar Water but I always felt like it left a sticky residue on my skin even if I was only using it to remove my eye makeup. In the amount of time that I have had the Garnier version, I haven't yet used half the bottle and I definitely prefer it to the L'Oreal one but compared to the Taaj Micellar Water I loved, I'm not so sure if this beats it. The Garnier Water is also much better value, double the amount as L'Oreal at the same price and you need less product to remove your makeup.

Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Purifying Cleanser LINK
This is a product that definitely lives up to its claims and I'm happy I finally decided to give it a go. It removes my makeup really well whilst also cleansing my skin. I have found that it leaves my skin feeling so soft that on many occasions I have almost forgotten to apply my moisturiser..woops.

Percy & Reed Wonder Balm LINK
To receive a full size product worth £18 in a magazine is pretty rare. Percy & Reed has been added, removed and again added to my list of brands to try out but I never knew what to start with or heard enough people raving about something so much. I thought this was the perfect opportunity to give the brand a go so I picked up ELLE magazine. It is a really nice balm which seems as though it acts as a primer for your hair before you apply any other products to keep them in place. The Wonder Balm really helps to keep my TIGI Smoothing Lusterizer on my hair for much longer than normal seeing as all the very small glitter particles end on my hands when doing anything to my hair. However, I'm not sure whether or not I will venture into the brand any further.

Russell Howard Wonderbox Tour TICKETS
I have been a fan of Russell Howard for years now and loved his Good News programme and finally was able to see one of his shows whilst on tour. Wasn't a disappointment at all, we had an incredible view and it was overall a hilarious night. If you are a fan of Russell Howard, definitely think about going to one of his tour shows!

Let me know what you've been loving, if you have used any of these products or went to the Russell Howard tour!
