Life | #semicolonproject416

Hey everyone!

As many of you may already know, today was a day for everyone who self harms, is suicidal, depressed, has anxiety, going through a broken heart, just lost a loved one etc. to draw a semicolon on their wrist.

This symbol represents a sentence the author could've ended, but chose not to.
The author is you and the sentence is your life.

It also shows to everyone that it is okay for you all to reach out to someone for help.

I won't go into too much detail but this project and the symbol both mean a lot to me. I suffer with anxiety and have recently lost a very close loved one which was my Nan.
I thought it was quite nice for everyone who struggles with the same or similar problems to share that with each other and for everyone to know that it IS okay and you are NOT alone.

I feel like a semicolon encourages people to keep on going and fight through their problems and battles no matter how hard it is and how long it takes. The smallest glance at the symbol can make them think "Keep on going, you CAN do this, don't give up."

I don't normally ask you to read a previous post, but last week I posted about Dealing With Stress, Anxiety and Panic Attacks. I feel that this really relates and connects to the semicolon project.
I would love if you took a quick look so that you all know that you are not alone and that there are a lot of other people out there who deal with the same things as you do!
If you would like to take a look at the post, please click HERE, it would mean an awful lot!:)

Don't ever give up. Your story is far from over.

Thank you for reading! :)
