Window Shopping New Season Collections

I have quite a different post for you today. Apart from my 10 Favourite Things in My Wardrobe post last year and from items being mentioned in hauls, I don't tend to find anything based solely on fashion to write about. Over the last month, I have been looking through the newest styles on multiple fashion websites to give you all an idea of what is new in the shops at the moment (which hasn't done too well for my bank account!)

Everything I have included is/has been included in the 'New in' sections on these websites over the last month. I have chosen a selection of both different styles and fashion items that may not necessarily be my favourite but you may absolutely love! Some items may also have different colours available so be sure to check the links. I have also included the retail prices instead of any current offer prices.

Whilst looking at all of the shops/websites I am going to mention, I noticed that khaki colours, utility/military styles and macs/duster coats were some of the most popular styles available and I have included some of these in this post. I can definitely see these styles becoming quite popular throughout the end of Winter and going into Spring. After last summer, skorts also seem to have made a comeback this season!

ASOS

Over the last couple of years, ASOS has very quickly become one of my favourite and go-to places to look for any new fashion pieces. I have only included items from their own brand to include in this post and the t-shirt is one of my favourite pieces, although it is quite basic it is unlike anything I saw anywhere else while preparing this post. ASOS is excellent for fashion pieces that can be quite different to anything you see in highstreet stores but at times can also be fairly similar.

TOPSHOP
Alongside ASOS, Topshop is one of my go-to fashion stores. I seem to like Topshop even more every year and they always have amazing things to offer. Topshop is the only place I go to that I can be looking for something such as a new top or bag and will always be able to find something that everything fits perfectly no matter what item. Their overall collection of all fashion pieces is amazing and no matter what you're looking for, Topshop will have something for you! The quality is also incredible and never disappoints me.

ZARA

Zara can be a bit of a hit or miss for me. I can go into a couple of different stores and find nothing or go into one a month or so later and love half the shop. Recently I have been quite impressed with what they have been offering and I have my eye on quite a few items at the moment. The second bag I have included is also available in black and navy and they all have a bright interior colour which you can turn inside out and carry showing the other colour. There are always stand out pieces for me in Zara and they always seem to be items that are completely unlike anything you would be able to find in places like New Look or Topshop.

Jacquard Pattern Shorts £25.99 LINK
Mini City Bag £29.99 LINK

MISSGUIDED

I have only ordered once from Missguided a very long time ago and always forget to look on their website if I want to add something to my wardrobe. After looking, they have some excellent designs and a massive range of items whether you're looking for something to lounge around the house in or to wear for a night out. The prices are very reasonable and if you have the time to look through all the items they have, you will definitely find at least one thing or end up with a full list.

Cable Knit Drop Shoulder Jumper £25 LINK
Henny Blurred Rose Print Boyfriend Shirt £25 LINK
Khloe Premium Waterfall Coat £70 LINK
Lace Tailored Jumpsuit £35 LINK
Lelita Monochrome Check Peplum Cami Top £13 LINK
Malou 50's Style Circle Midi Skirt Dress £25 LINK
Waisted Shirt Dress Khaki £28 LINK

MISS SELFRIDGE

Alongside Zara, Miss Selfridge can also be quite a hit a miss store for me as well. They have some really gorgeous designs in at the moment perfect for this time of year and everything they have fits really well. I have a playsuit from their spring/summer stock last year that is the same shape as the one I have included here and it is really comfortable, lightweight and very easy to move around in. I also like that they always have prints that I haven't seen in any other stores before. If you are looking for smaller sizes, this is the shop for you!

Black Felt Floppy Hat £28 LINK
Blue Wrap Back Vest £20 LINK
Black Floral Shirt £30 LINK
Floral Organza Tee £35 LINK
Petites Ditsy Floral Playsuit £39 LINK
Pleated Skort £30 LINK
Yellow Floral Shorts £30 LINK

KURT GEIGER
Kurt Geiger can often be quite pricey but they also have a lot of items that are very reasonably priced which is why I wanted to include the brand in this post. I recently purchased their Brisa boots and they are really comfortable and I love the gold hardware detail. After looking at many of their bags in store, the quality is incredible and at first glance you would think they are much more expensive.

Annelise Lock Bag £55 LINK
Bernadette High Heel Court Shoes £50 LINK
Brisa Flat Ankle Boots £75 LINK
Dakota Lock Shoulder Bag £75 LINK
Marlow Flat Loafers £55 LINK
Nell Saffiano Tote £180 LINK
Scatter Low Heel Ankle Boots £150 LINK

I hope I have helped you find some new fashion pieces to add to your wardrobe for the end of Winter and heading into the Spring season. What fashion items have you got your eye on at the moment? Will you be adding anything I have included to your wishlist? :)

January Favourites

I didn't actually realise until a couple of weeks ago that I haven't posted a monthly favourites since my June and July favourites last year so apologies for that! I also recently posted my beauty favourites from 2014 which you can take a look at here.

I can't believe we are already a month into 2015! It feels like 5 minutes ago I was in London watching the New Year's Fireworks! I have a range of different favourites to share with you today, most of which I haven't previously mentioned on here :)

BEAUTY

By Terry Ombré Blackstar 'Misty Rock' | MAC Lipstick 'Patisserie'

L'Oreal True Match Foundation LINK
I used to use this foundation about a year and a half ago now and as I had a £2 Boots voucher I decided to give it another go. It reminds me a little of NARS Sheer Glow from the natural glow and coverage it gives however I do find that this one does start to fade and become shiny a lot quicker. Regardless of that, it is slowly becoming one of my go-to highstreet foundations and perfect for daytime wear as it feels very light on the skin.

By Terry Ombré Blackstar - Misty Rock LINK BLOG POST
I've had my eye on this for a while and am so happy I finally decided to pick it up! It is a really nice shimmery mauve shade with taupe undertones running through it. It applies really well and has a really creamy formula. It also blends really well and lasts all day. A little pricey but definitely worth the money!

MAC Lipstick - Patisserie* LINK
I was lucky enough to get this for Christmas from my best friend and it has been the only lipstick I have reached for since. This is one of their lustre lipsticks and is one of my favourite day-to-day lipsticks. It is really buttery and moisturising on the lips and quite pigmented although I do find that you have to re-apply it after a few hours.

Nivea Milk & Honey Lip Balm* LINK
This has been my go-to daytime lip balm for a while now. I love all of the Nivea lip balms and think they are some of the best highstreet ones you can buy. This is really moisturising and you don't have to keep applying it every 5 minutes to keep your lips soft. It also works really well underneath my lipsticks making them apply a lot better.

Zoeva Rose Gold Brushes - 231 Luxe Petit Crease and 227 Luxe Soft Definer* LINK
I have mentioned the Zoeva brushes multiple times now and most recently in my 2014 favourites. However, I don't think I have mentioned much about these two brushes alone. The 227 I use when blending out whatever eyeshadow I have been using and works really well with powders especially. The 231 blends the By Terry Ombré Blackstar and other cream eyeshadows effortlessly because of the pointed tip and then I will soften the edges a little more with the 227. They are excellent quality, definitely worth the investment and the rose gold makes them look even nicer!

Ghost Eclipse Perfume* LINK
So far my favourite perfume has been the Zara Woman Gold which I have mentioned a couple of times now, especially throughout 2013. I had been looking for a new one and smelt the Ghost perfume after hearing it mentioned by Zoe (Zoella) in August. It has a really nice summery, fresh scent to it and has definitely got rid of those January/Winter blues. I really like the shape of the bottle and ombré gradient, it looks really different to anything else I have seen. This has definitely become one of my favourite perfumes!

HAIR, BODYCARE, CLOTHING, TV

Soap & Glory Hand Dream Super Cream* LINK
Throughout Winter, my hands have been very dry and after receiving this for Christmas, I thought it would be the perfect time to give a try. This is definitely the best hand cream I have ever used! After using this just once, the dry skin had completely gone. I really like this as it works instantly meaning you don't have to apply it every 30-60 minutes. It sinks into the skin really quickly without stinging the dry areas and has that traditional Soap and Glory scent.

Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer Shampoo LINK BLOG POST 1 BLOG POST 2
I have mentioned this quite a lot recently since July and it has quickly become one of my favourite hair products. As well as it been really affordable and having a range of different products for different hair types, Garnier have really surpassed my expectations with this! It leaves my hair feeling really soft and silky and it smells like coconuts.

Toni & Guy Cleanse and Nourish Conditioner for Damaged Hair LINK
My mum recently had a treatment on her hair and can now only use specific products to keep the effects of it and as my conditioner had just ran out, she gave me this one. I have heard a lot about the Toni & Guy Cleanse and Nourish products but was never really too interested in trying them. This works really well with the Garnier shampoo and as it is for damaged hair, it leaves my hair feeling really smooth which doesn't disappear after blow drying and straightening my hair which has happened with a lot of other products I have previously used.

Primark Super Cosy Tights
If you haven't heard of these before and have a Primark close to where you live, you need to go and pick yourself up a pair! They have a 300 denier so are a lot thicker than the normal 40-60 ones and also have a soft fleece lining inside so you can wear tights throughout Winter without your legs freezing!

Broadchurch Series 2 LINK
Without sounding too excited, I'm SO happy Broadchurch has come back! This is definitely one my favourite programmes and after all the questions they brought up throughout the first series, hopefully now they will start to be answered. I won't say too much as I don't want to ruin it for you but I would recommend this to you in a heartbeat!

What beauty products, fashion items or tv programmes have been your favourites throughout January? Are you a fan of Broadchurch too? Let me know in the comments, I would love to hear what you have been loving!

Beauty Favourites Of 2014

Very rarely do I post on here two days on the trot but seeing as I'm the last blogger to upload this, I thought I would let you all know about my beauty favourites throughout 2014. If you missed my post yesterday, you can take a look at that here.

I know everybody says this each year but seriously where did 2014 go?! Feels like one minute it was New Year's Day, the next it was Christmas!

I was originally only going to do 14 favourites from 2014 but after narrowing them all down I then found more products that I wanted to mention!

MAKEUP

NARS 'Isolde' Duo | Maybelline 'On and On Bronze' | Estée Lauder 'Pink Sand' | Tanya Burr 'Chic'

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer LINK
I really don't need to say much about this from the countless times I've mentioned it before! This seriously is the best concealer I've used. This is the only concealer I will buy whilst shopping but I really want to try a couple of high-end options. If you know of anything you think I would like, please let me know in the comments!

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation LINK
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation LINK
The NARS foundation is definitely one of my favourites and need to get myself a new bottle soon ! It blends and covers really well with a medium coverage, not sheer at all, stays all day and has a really natural glow to it. It also feels really lightweight on the skin, this bottle lasted me months so is definitely worth the money! Before and after I got this foundation I was using the Rimmel Match Perfection which is one of the best you can find on the highstreet. It also has a medium coverage although it can start to wear off by the end of the day but for £6.99 it's very good!

NARS Pro-Prime Eyeshadow Base LINK
NARS is quickly becoming a favourite brand for me and this has definitely helped my eyeshadow to stay in place all day rather than it disappearing before I got home. It has a very smooth texture and it is white in the tube but clear once it's blended so doesn't change the colour of your eyeshadow.

NARS Eyeshadow Duo 'Isolde' LINK
Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo 'On and On Bronze' LINK
You have probably seen this mentioned a lot as well. These products together have been my go-to eye-shadow look for months now. The darker shade in the duo on top of the cream shadow creates a really nice smokey look. Separately, these are also really nice; all 3 shades are different to anything I had seen before, really pigmented and blend very easily.

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara LINK
I had wanted to try this mascara for a while and repurchased it at least once afterwards. Maybelline haven't disappointed me with the last mascara I tried from them. It is both volumising and lengthing on the lashes and I really liked the natural bristles brush as previously I had only ever used plastic brushes.

Estée Lauder Signature Lipstick 'Pink Sand' LINK
Tanya Burr Lipgloss 'Chic' LINK
When I've been using the eyeshadows I just mentioned, these have been my go-to lip products for a while throughout 2014. I have either used the lipgloss on its own or on top of the lipstick to enhance the colour. The Tanya Burr lipglosses are incredible and don't have the horrible sticky feeling you get with other ones in Boots/Superdrug. Together these have been the perfect nude lip.

Zoeva Rose Gold Makeup Brushes* LINK
Now, do I really need to say much about these? Everyone's mum, great aunt and puppy has either heard about or used these! I got this set for my 18th birthday last year and I haven't reached for my other brushes since. The quality is incredible and my makeup applies and blends out perfectly from using these brushes. The rose gold makes them look a lot more expensive and will definitely get hold of the new rose gold eye set.!

SKINCARE/BODY

Garnier Micellar Water LINK
I have repurchased this once maybe twice now and as much as I previously loved the Taaj version, this has definitely become my favourite. It removes my eye makeup really quickly and easily and doesn't sting my eyes at all.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash LINK
LUSH Tea Tree Toner LINK
Tea tree is definitely become one of my favourite ingredients in skincare products. Using both of these together really helped to clear my skin although I have been really lazy with my skincare lately (woops) and the toner is definitely the best one I have used.

Simple Kind To Skin Protecting Moisture Cream SPF30 LINK
Nivea Soft LINK
These have been my go to moisturisers for a while now although I definitely want to try some more expensive ones. I mix them both together as a base for my makeup and then the Nivea one alone at night. They are both very moisturising although the Simple one is a little thicker and I've never seen a moisturiser with such a high SPF before!

Nuxe Reve De Miel* LINK
This has been an on and on favourite for me after getting it for my birthday as I kept forgetting to use it. It is very moisturising and you need such a small amount there isn't much of a dent in the top yet! This is definitely a night lip balm or on its own during the day as it's a little too much to wear underneath a lipstick.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash* LINK
The Body Shop Papaya Shower Gel LINK
I absolutely love the scent of both of these. Sugar Crush is a lot more citrusy and refreshing while the Papaya is a lot more fruity and softening. Both are excellent, very moisturising and lather up quickly.

Laura Mercier Body Soufflê - Fresh Fig LINK
This has been my go to body lotion for about a year now. I can be quite lazy with body lotions but whenever I do use them, this is the one I will pick up without thinking about it. It has quite a relaxing scent and little definitely goes a long way.

HAIR

TIGI S-Factor Smoothing Lusterizer LINK
I got this about 2 years ago now and am only just starting to run out. I have mentioned it mutiple times on my blog and is definitely a staple in my haircare routine. There are tiny glitter particles inside so it makes your hair look a lot less dull. It is known as a 'defrizzer and tamer' and it really does that! If I ever don't use this, my hair is a lot more frizzy, looks a lot more dull and isn't anyone near as moisturiser or soft than it is when I have used it.

Toni & Guy Heat Protection Mist LINK
I don't think I have used a heat protectant that has impressed me so much that I wanted to repurchase it until this one. I don't know what it is about it but I feel like my hair has been a lot softer after drying and straightening it since I have been using this.

Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer Shampoo and Conditioner LINK LINK
For a highstreet and relatively cheap shampoo and conditioner, these are some of the best I have used. I like that they have different products for different hair types meaning you get the treatment you need. They leave my hair feeling so soft after I have used them as they are incredibly moisturising.

What products were your beauty favourites throughout 2014?
Have you tried any of the products I mentioned?
Is there anything you think I should try out this year?

Little Bag Of Beauty | By Terry Ombré Blackstar Misty Rock

By Terry Ombré Blackstar - Misty Rock £28 (Now £29) LINK

Hello everyone!

You may have seen on my Facebook page recently I mentioned that I wasn't able to publish a 'What I Got For Christmas' post this year. I had written the post but the pictures were such bad lighting and quality that day by day it was getting far too late to post it. I will be posting my favourites of 2014 soon however today I thought I would tell you about one certain product I have been loving recently.

Just before Christmas whilst shopping in London and after seeing Tanya Burr mention it multiple times and swatching them everytime I went in a Space NK, I decided to treat myself to one of the By Terry Ombré Blackstars. These are quite pricey although I have been researching them for a very long time now to see if they were actually worth the money and to decide which colour to choose.

I decided on 'Misty Rock' which is a beautiful shimmery mauve shade with taupe undertones which is completely different to anything I have ever seen before and it has a really creamy texture and pigmented formula. It applies effortlessly, you can blend it out quickly with your finger, you don't need much product at all and it lasts all day. The perfect product for if you're in a rush! I have been reaching for this everyday since I got it and it was definitely worth the £28 price tag (although they have now slightly increased to £29).

Try swatching one of these if you ever see them and they are completely smudge-free that by the time you leave the shop and swipe your finger over it , it won't budge! I tested the longevity of these by leaving the swatch on my hand overnight and by the morning it had only slightly faded.
Unfortunately this isn't the easiest shade to take pictures of!

I'm also hoping to build my collection and pick Blond Opal, Frozen Quartz and either Bronze Moon or Brown Perfection.

Let me know in the comments if you have ever tried one of these and what your favourite shade is :) Which shade should I get next?

Happy New Year | London Fireworks

Source - Google Images
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Sorry for the 2 month break but I was so busy with work, college and my work experience that I couldn't find the time to take any blog photos let alone sit down and write anything! Now that my work experience is done and the boxing day sale at work panic is over, I'm back blogging and have a long list of posts ready to be written for you all :)
I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and enjoyed your New Year's Eve no matter what you did whether it was just sitting at home with your family or out at a party. This was the first year I actually had plans for New Year's Eve which my mum said felt very strange haha!

For New Year's Eve, me, my best friend and some of her family all went down to London to watch the fireworks which was amazing! Some might be put off waiting in the cold for 2.5-3 hours but it is definitely worth it. I thought I would share with you some of the pictures I took from the night, apologies for the quality as I only had my phone to hand.
We were standing on one side of the London Eye so the view was very different to if you watched them on TV but nevertheless, the atmosphere made it incredible!

There were approximately 100,000 tickets sold and where we were standing was packed so to imagine how busy it was from our side all the way round to the other side of the London Eye is crazy! There were also people watching on the bridge, down Trafalgar Square and from hotel rooms surrounding the London Eye.

I was surprised that the fireworks weren't actually very loud! The music they were playing made the atmosphere even better and we could also hear the Queen concert once the fireworks were over.
Yes it was very cold and a long night as we didn't get back until 3.30-4am in the morning but it was all worth it!

What did you get up to for New Year's? Let me know in the comments!
Have you ever been to see the London fireworks? What did you think?

Hope you all have an amazing 2015!
