*Increase in e.l.f. Cosmetics Prices*

Hi guys!
This will be a very quick post for you today.
I was on Facebook and checking the e.l.f. page when I saw a post saying that they have had to increase some of their prices.

Now, to be honest, these aren't very dramatic changes and surely you would rather pay a little more for products by a company that you love than see it close altogether!:)

As far as I am currently aware, the changes are as follows;

The essentials eyes, lips and face and the all but two nail products have stayed at £1.50.
The essentials french manicure sets have been raised by either 50p or £1, to £5 (I am unsure what they were originally:))
The essentials nail polish have been raised by £1 to £2.50 - They are fantastic quality so £2.50 is still amazing!:)

The mineral line has had the most dramatic of changes;
As far as I know, all the eye products have stayed at the same prices.
The mineral lipsticks have increased from £3.50 to £5 - this was probably the saddest I felt but there's only three more I want to try and my birthday is next month so I should get some money then:)
The mineral lip gloss have increased by 50p - quite reasonable:)
The mineral boosters - 'small' is £5 instead of £3.50 and 'large' is now £7 instead of £5 - these are amazing quality!

I have been told that the 'majority' of the studio products have been raised by 25p but I think all of the studio products have:)

Anyway, if you have seen any other price changes that I haven't noticed, please comment below to let other people aware of them:)

I hope you aren't too upset and I will definitely continue to purchase their products:)

That's all for now bye!:)

e.l.f. Haul!:)

Hey! I finally have my e.l.f. order as I had to collect it from the post office today:) I'm not sure if 7 items is counted as a haul but oh well:) Over the weekend e.l.f. had a promotion for £5 all orders with a minimum value of £20. I really needed to order and I could just about afford the £15 with discount with some money still left haha:)

My products still in the packaging:)
What I had really wanted to order was the Studio Complexion Perfection and the Essentials Soothing Lip Balm and seeing as I needed £20 worth I ordered 2 new brushes to use the Complexion Perfection with and I ordered 3 more lip products. First impressions;
I have to say that in the packaging the lip balm did look quite small but its actually bigger in height than normal lip balms from a drugstore.

Essentials Soothing Lip Balm out of packaging
I got this in Blackberry Créme as it had the best reviews out of the 4 flavours that are available. So far I love this packaging and I have already tried the product and so far I LOVE THIS! This is so smooth and soothing that this is better than every other lip balm I have tried.

Next I got the Essentials Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Pink Lemonade. I like the colour in the packaging and I hope it looks nice on. I have three of these now and I really like them.
I got 2 products from the Mineral line and both were lip products. The first was the Mineral Lipstick and I got this in the shade Party Pink. This is a bit darker than it looks on the website but I think it might look okay:) I already have a Mineral Lipstick in Nicely Nude and I really liked it.

Again, I already have a Mineral Lip gloss and I liked the texture but I wasn't so overkeen on the colour so I decided to get another in the colour Fierce. This is a corally-peach colour but I'm not sure if it's going to look right or not... You can look at Jellynat's blog (here) for Mineral Lip Gloss swatches:)

Ahh my long wanted e.l.f. product! I really need something to even out my skintone whether its makeup for just during the day or a moisturiser to even out my skintone permanently. I'll be trying this out tomorrow morning and I really can't wait! I love the look of the packaging and it has been named as a 'dupe' packaging for Nars Cosmetics.
I purchased this brush plainly to use it for the Complexion Perfection. This is roughly 3 times the size as the Studio Blush Brush and this is unbelivably soft, it feels like silk! Really can't wait to use this and I hope it lives up to the hype that it has been given!

This was also a purchase to use it for the Complexion Perfection under my eyes. This is also really soft and I think it is just the right size to use around the eye area and definitely not rough that it will hurt!

So that's my haul for now:) I will try out the products as soon as I can so I can write a review for these products! Please leave a comment below if there is a product you would like a review of first and please follow my blog, I would really appreciate it!

Also don't forget to vote in the poll on the right hand side----->

e.l.f. Studio Lip Lock Pencil

Another review today:) I should really be revising and not writing this but ahh well I will in a minute:)
Today's review is for the e.l.f. Studio Lip Lock Pencil;
Packaging with product
I purchasing this in February I think?:S I haven't used this product very much but the times I have I have been very impressed and I can notice the difference it makes.
The amount of product you get with some used:)
This is meant to be used a lip liner to ensure your lipstick/gloss doesn't "bleed" on the edge of your lips. This can be used on the edge of your lips or just outside.
For £3.50 you get a lot of product and it is also very good quality for the price. This is a clear lipliner which is best if you either don't want a coloured one or if you can't find one that is the same as your natural lip colour.

e.l.f. claim; "Keep your lipstick, lip gloss and lip liner from feathering, traveling or budging with the smooth glide Lip Lock Pencil." "Lip color stays locked in place for continous wear."

I really do agree with these claims and I really like this product:) am definitely going to use up all of this product and I will most likely buy a new one once I have run out but this will definitely last me a long time as I don't wear lip products very often:)

Packaging - 9/10 -  The card packaging it comes in is really nice and I like the packaging the actual product is in.
Product - 8/10
Price - 10/10
Would I recommend this? - Yes
Would I repurchase this? - Yes
I'm sorry this is a short review but if you have any questions relating to this product, please comment below or email me at; themakeupcounter@hotmail.co.uk :)

*Disclaimer* I purchased this product with my own money. I have no afilliation with the company, these are my own opinions and I have not been paid to do this review.

Hope you liked this post and more will come soon:)
Also, please don't forget to vote on the poll:)

Simple Anti-Blemish Moisturiser and Cleansing Facial Wipes

Sorry for the long wait for another review, I was going to post this review this morning but then my internet broke for 9 hours, yes you read right, 9!:o Anyway, here's the review for you:)
Anti-Blemish Moisturiser and Cleansing Facial Wipes
Finally time for another review! As you can tell by the title, this review is for two Simple skincare products.
I have been using the Simple wipes for a long time but stopped because I couldn't afford £3.20 price tag maybe every other week. I have recently purchased them again and happily I can afford them as I am not using them as often or 1 instead of 2-3 each day! I think Simple have changed these wipes as I am a lot more impressed with them than I used to:)
Cleasing wipes

Back of packaging
 Simple claim; "Our Cleansing Facial Wipes are a perfect blend of cleansing and vitamin goodness to refresh and tone your skin."

I really don't know if these tone your skin as I use a liquid toner aswell so I can't comment on that claim. However, these definitely make your skin fresh and clean.
These are definitely very good at removing all of your make-up including eyeliner and mascara, I'm not sure if these remove waterproof eye make-up as I don't use waterproof products:)

Next up is the Simple Spotless Skin Anti-Blemish Moisturiser.
Moisturiser
I can't remember why I purchased this moisturiser, I think I was browsing the Boots website (as you do!) and I saw some really good reviews on this product.
I purchased this moisturiser a couple of days after reading the reviews and I was very close to returning it! Firstly, this was doing the complete opposite of what it is meant to do. Instead of 'anti-blemish' it was 'extra-blemish' but soon my skin adapted to it and I love this soo much!
Ladies (and possibly gents:)), this won't completely leave you blemish-free for the rest of your life you will get the occasional breakout but this definitely reduces the amount of them.
Back of packaging
Simple claim; "Get results from day 1 with our Spotless Skin Anti-blemish Moisturiser. It's a perfect blend of spot fighting ingredients and natural antibacterial goodness to maintain moisture levels throughout the day and giving long lasting shine control."

I agree with what Simple claim but not completely with the 1 day claim as I said this originally did the opposite of what it is meant to do.
(Left - When squeezed from the tube. Right - Swatch.)
I honestly couldn't live without this anymore and I have no idea why I didn't purchase this any sooner!

Cleansing wipes
Packaging - 9/10 - Very good but easy to not seal properly and cause the wipes to dry out.
Product - 9/10
Price - 9/10
Would I recommend this? - Yes
Would I repurchase this? - Yes

Moisturiser
Packaging - 9/10 - Very easy to control how much product you get until it starts to run out:s
Product - 9.5/10 - I would have given this a 10 but the beginning of using this product let it down a little.
Price - 10/10
Would I recommend this? - Yes
Would I repurchase this? - Yes!

*Disclaimer* I purchased these products with my own money. I have no afilliation with the company, these are my own opinions and I have not been paid to do this review.
Hope you've liked this review, comment if you have any questions and feel free to follow, also don't forget to vote in the poll on the side of my blog:)

Liebster Award:)

I just wanted to thank Sarah Jane's Obsessions for nominating me for the Liebster award:) Check out her blog as she has some amazing posts and her giveaway ends on 8th May:)

Liebster means "Darling" and this award is given to bloggers who have less than 200 followers. I think this is a great award as it is a way of getting other blogs known even more on the internet:)

I am going to nominate;
Sarah Jane's Obsessions
Away With The Pandas - This isn't a beauty blog but she has some very funny stories:)
Beauty Box
Not Just On The Inside
The Red One
Panda Bear Eyes - You're probably thinking why I'm nominating a blog with no posts right? Well I've been persuading her to for AGES so hopefully this will work haha:)
Gloss Over It

See you later girlies:)

Hmmmmm....

Just to start, if you're wondering, there WILL be some more reviews soon but I'm wondering which to do first (if you would like youu can vote in my last post:))
So.... I have been researching for sooo long probably almost a month:o and I still can't decide which foundation to purchase:S There's 4 I have been researching;
Max Factor Xperience
Revlon Photoready
Revlon Colorstay
L'oreal True Match

I have read many reviews and watched videos about all of these products but there have been soo many mixed reviews of all of them like "AMAZING!!" "Really good - comparable to high end" or "This is rubbish - don't buy it!" I have my celebration evening when we leave school (finally! the end of yr11!) at the end of this month and my current foundation (Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid) is running out too so I need a new one soon:)

Please leave a comment on this post if you have had any experiences with these foundations and/or which one you would recommend:)

I appreciate all the help you lot can give me and I can't wait to read what you guys think because I need to buy one hopefully in the need week:)

See you later hunnies:)
